DiamondAvenue.com is the place to learn about Fancy Brown Color Diamonds
Natural Fancy Brown diamonds are becoming popular. Many of these diamonds originate at the Argyle Mine in the Eastern Kimberly region of Western Australia. These diamonds come in many different color combinations and are now marketed according to the secondary tones exhibited. Brown diamonds can be categorized as 1) Cognac color diamonds and 2) Champagne color diamonds.
Cognac color diamonds have orange secondary tones while Champagne color diamonds have yellow secondary tones. The naming of the two categories was a brainstorm of the Argyle Mine establishment in an effort to stimulate the acceptance and desirability of brown diamonds and as a result increase their value and standing in the marketplace.
